$120.00
This is a standardized test developed by GL Assessment to measure cognitive abilities in four different sections: verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, spatial. It is used by many international schools in Singapore as an indicator to an applicant’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences.
The levels of difficulty are designed according to age/grade groups, ranging from Level A (8-9 years old) through Level G (15+ years old).
The four sections comprise of only multiple-choice questions, summarized as follows:
Verbal Reasoning:
- Verbal classification: choose the word that best fits the group of words provided.
- Verbal analogy: choose the word to complete a second pair that follows the same relationship in the first pair.
Non-Verbal Reasoning:
- Figure classification: choose the design that best fits the group of designs provided.
- Figure matrices: choose the design that completes the trend in a matrix of patterns
Quantitative Reasoning:
- Number analogies: choose the number that creates a third pair with identical pattern as the first two pairs given
- Number series: choose the number that continues the same pattern of the given sequence
Spatial Reasoning:
- Figure analysis: choose the figure which would be the outcome of the given sequence of folding and hole-punching
- Figure recognition: choose the shape which contains the exactly same outline given
The final score of each section is reported based on the raw score of a candidate, adjusted by age and measured against the average of a group.
